We provide internal learning platform, where we encourage and enable our employees to be multiskilled in different production processes. This affords employees an opportunity to grow within the business and the company to have employees with standard set of skills to perform effectively at different levels in the organisation.

1. Learnership Programme

A learnership is a work-based learning programme that leads to National Qualification Framework (NQF) registered qualification. Learnerships are directly related to an occupation or field of work.

The primary aim of learnerships is to address the gap between the current education and training provided and the needs of the current labour market.

TBSA also contributes in closing a gap by offering a 12 months Learnership Programme which entails a theory and practical training. Upon completion learners will be awarded NQF registered qualification. The company would absorb and retain learners who performed well during the programme which is a huge contribution to succumb the high unemployment rate in South Africa.

 

2. Apprenticeship Programme

An apprenticeship is a productive and effective way to grow talent and develop a motivated, skilled, and qualified workforce. TBSA has continuously contributed in the automotive industry by upskilling internal employees and external unemployed youth with giving them a formal apprenticeship programme. We specialised in the following trades: Millwright; Tool Making; Fitting and Turning and Electrical.

TBSA offers a 48 months Apprenticeship Programme under supervision of a qualified artisan as a mentor. Upon completion of the respective trade curricula, the candidates will be offered an opportunity to undergo a trade test to qualify as Artisans.

 

3. Graduate Programme

A graduate programme is a fixed-term entry-level position offered by TBSA to suitable and qualified unemployed graduates who desires to be an integral part of TBSA talent pool.

The programme offers graduates and opportunity to gain on the job work practical experience related to their field of study for a period of 24 months.

 

4. Internship Programme

TBSA offers an internship programme, which is a professional learning experience that provides meaningful, practical work related to a student's field of study or career interest.  The internship programme gives a student the opportunity for career exploration and development, and to learn new skills for a period of 24 months. We assign students to a qualified professional mentor who guides and mentors the student in terms of career and personal development.

The company will ensure that the student is able to obtain the qualification by exposing to the relevant work experience and signing off the tasks required by the training institution. 

 

5. Study Assistance

We selectively offer bursaries to internal employees based on the company scarce skills to help them advance a formal qualification.
